Since its inception, bike
patrol programs have become popular in the pre-hospital Emergency Medical
Services (EMS) community around the country.
The Lincoln Park First Aid
Squad operates an "EMS BIKE RESPONSE TEAM". The unit is led by Ron Bononno-
EMT. This valuable resource is deployed at any events drawing a mass crowd of
people. The bike team can quickly access a victim faster than any other means.
The size and speed of the bike can rapidly cut through crowds and provide
initial care to the patient before the transporting unit arrives. Minutes count
in some emergencies.
Our Bike teams consist of New Jersey trained
EMT's.
