| All Batteries: Auto, Motorcycle,
Light Duty Truck, Boat and ALL household (flashlight, Radio,Toy, Watch, Hearing
Aid) batteries can be brought to the recycling depot and deposited in the
designated containers. |
Motor oil: Used motor oil should
be in a clean container (plastic or metal) with a tigh fitting lib not to
exceed 5 gals. Residents are not permitted to bring more than 5 gals. at any
one time. Oil, by D.E.P. regulations , must be deposited in the approved shed
in the recycling depot. DO NOT EMPTY YOUR CANS INTO
THE STORAGE DRUMS Tires: The depot accepts, from
residents, auto tires, Motorcycle tires, Light Duty Truck Tires and bicycle
Tires. They must be removed from the rim and deposited in the trailer provided
at the depot. No heavy Duty Truck Tires (over 16.5" rim) or equioment tires
will be accepted. These tires are considered commercial adn require special
arrangements with the office of recycling. TIRES ARE
NOT COLLECTED FROM CURBSIDE All scarp Metal:Metal
is recycleable and can be brought to the Borough Depot. Examples include but
are not limited to: pipe, metal railings, screens, gym sets, bicycles, file
cabinets, tire rims, brass, aluminum doors and siding, appliances (Washers,
Dryers, Hot Water Heaters, Stoves & Refrigerators) will also be accepted at
the depot. Scrap Wood: The Borough will accept wood (lumber)
scrap, wood furniture, wooden fences, etc. from residents (all metal must be
removed). NO CONTRACTORS, CONTRACTOR RELATED VEHICLES
OR DUMP TRUCKS ARE PERMITTED TO BRING SCRAP WOOD TO THE DEPOT. No
Construction or renovation debris will be accepted. |
